Production

From requirements to reliable series — developed and built in-house

At Van West Cooling, development and production are fully integrated. We translate technical requirements into manufacturable cooling systems and deliver stable, documented series for long-term production. This ensures efficiency, reliability, and consistent quality across every unit.

Development

Each project starts with clearly defined requirements — including cooling capacity, operating conditions, dimensions, and integration. We develop practical, manufacturable cooling solutions tailored to the customer’s application.

Key activities:

  • Thermal design and component selection (R290)
  • Mechanical and 3D design
  • Integration and airflow optimisation
  • Design for manufacturability

Each cooling system is designed to integrate seamlessly into the customer’s machine and to operate optimally within its intended environment.

Prototyping & Validation

Prototypes are built using production components and tested under real operating conditions — both standalone and integrated into the customer’s system.

Validation includes:

  • Performance and capacity testing
  • Leak and pressure testing
  • Noise and vibration assessment
  • System balance verification

Only after successful validation is the design released for serial production.

Serial Production (100–10,000 units/year)

Production takes place entirely in our facility in the Netherlands, using lean and flexible assembly processes.

Key features:

  • Automated refrigerant charging and end-of-line testing
  • Full unit traceability
  • Controlled material flow
  • Dedicated production documentation per series

This ensures stable quality and efficient scaling across every series.
